"I'll be honest I was not an athletic child growing up! I was in 4 choirs, drama club, and German club. I wasn't the fastest or the strongest but after high school, I wanted to change and improve my health and body when I fell in love with wrestling," Scarlett told Fitness Gurls. "It took a lot of time and consistency to get to where I am today. I think too often people labor under the notion that either a person is athletic or they are not and there's no way to overcome that. But it's a myth."

Scarlett exercises a lot. "I work out at least four times a week focusing mostly on lower body and glutes for the majority of those days. I dedicate at least one day for upper body so my legs have a chance to rest," she told Fitness Gurls. "I also do fasted cardio a few days a week in the morning for 30 minutes, usually just a power walk around the neighborhood."

Scarlett loves to hike. She recently spent her birthday up in the mountains of Sedona, Arizona without a phone signal, getting her sweat on. "Hiking is one of the best ways to get exercise. No matter what type of trail you find yourself on, hiking is a great whole-body workout—from head to toe and everything in between," says the National Parks Service

Scarlett loves to get her fight on, but not only when she is wrestling! She is a big fan of martial arts. "Thanks for the killer cardio sesh today @imazakidojo 💪🥋 #kyokushin #martialarts #chicago," she captioned a snap of her fighting session.

Scarlett's flat abs aren't the product of sitting around on the couch. She does a ton of ab work. In this Instagram video she does situps with a medicine ball, tossing it to her trainer after each sit up. Ouch! "An exciting alternative to dumbbell exercises, medicine ball training is versatile, cost-effective and simple to teach, and it's time-efficient because it requires multiple body parts to work in harmony. Using just one weighted ball, you can help your training clients or class participants improve fitness, strength, posture, movement mechanics, athletic skills and more," says ACE Fitness.
