Ashley Tisdale, one of the stars of the hit Disney movie franchise, “High School Musical,” is officially a married woman. The actress exchanged vows with her fiancé on Monday evening. Her reps confirm that the actress did indeed wed her boyfriend of almost two years on Monday evening. The actress posted to Twitter eight months after their first date that they’d gotten engaged.
“Best night of my life,” she tweeted the night her boyfriend, Christopher French, proposed to her in New York City atop the Empire State Building in a romantic setting. Just a few months ago, Tisdale’s longtime friend and former Disney costar, Vanessa Hudgens, spoke to the media about Tisdale and her impending marriage.
“Ashley’s bachelorette party will be my first one. It’s so crazy, because I just think of us as having fun and being silly and the fact that she is getting married, my mind is kind of exploding,” Hudgen’s said of her friend’s bachelorette party. Tisdale and her girlfriends got together in Miami for a girl’s trip to celebrate her last few months as a single woman before she got married.
While she hasn’t posted any personal details of her wedding, the actress did confirm her marriage on Instagram. She posted a photo of herself and her new groom in their wedding best. The groom donned a black tux for the occasion, and Tisdale looked a bit like a flower girl in her long white gown with a wreath of what appears to be flowers around her hair, which is down and slightly curled.
“Best day of my life! Introducing Mr. and Mrs. French Sept 8, 2014,” she captioned the photo. Congratulations to the newlyweds as they begin their life as husband and wife. We can see Tisdale soon when her new show “Buzzy’s” debuts on TBS sometime in 2015.
